[He sulks, but he permits the kiss. As with much of its sulking, it's in many ways an act.] Should I take that to mean you'll devote yourself to me and me alone?

[Judas pauses, and in that pause places his hand over Dorian's, holding his wrist. He speaks carefully, keeping his eyes down.]

Yes. ...You could even say I'm yours.

[Dorian answers in a quiet quiet voice. He sets his fingers against Judas's cheek.] Could I? That's sweet of you to say.

[He nods, moving Dorian's hand around to be able to kiss his palm.]

Of course, it's true, after all.

[Dorian smiles, a fragile expression. He leans forward, but not to kiss Judas. Instead, his voice comes out delicately, so that it will only be heard by Judas's ear.] I don't like losing what's mine, Judah. And I want so much to ask you to stay with me, to let me keep you. But I understand wanting death, so I can't ask you that. I can't demand your life when we would both have given it away long ago, had we the choice.

I would say you already have that either way. The only time I want to live is with you. ...That's frightening, in some ways, but I suppose it's a good thing. So you might as well have it.

[He presses his lips together, not sure how to say the rest.]

Your clone told me I shouldn't have said I wouldn't leave you alone. And that's probably true, it isn't really a promise that can be made here. But I do intend to keep it. Even if one of us disappears, it won't be due to death, so I'll do everything I can. I'll look for you. And that should be easy in my position.

[The last of it makes him laugh, and that is a relief, saving him from the overwhelming sincerity of the conversation.] You'll look me up in Hell's version of Debrett's? I do hope it will be very flattering to my history, there is so much to cover.

[Judas shakes his head, unable to keep himself from smiling.] Heaven's version. I'm sure it'll be the longest write-up they've seen. I'll find you before you make it that far, probably. But if not, we'll go get you, and I'll stay or bring you back, whichever.

[There's a pause, and in it Judas goes from flustered to rolling his eyes.]
